Complete City of Evanston-“Water Billing Affidavit”-see website for form -is required for the billing and collection of the final water/sewer charges.
Contact the City Clerk’s office at 847/448-4311 to obtain a transaction journal of any outstanding water/sewer or liens owed. E-Mail all supporting documentation to HUD’s Field Service Managerclosing agent to obtain approval prior to closing. A zero balance is necessary in order to get stamp.
Transfer Stamp: Seller-Buyers Closing Agent to get HUD stamp
- $35.00 exempt stamp fee.
- City of Evanston Real Estate Transfer Tax information sheet
- Warranty Deed-signed and notarized before coming to the City for Stamp.
- Payment accepted: personal check, credit card, or cash.
