Contact Water Department- Contact Water Billing Department-to obtain a history transaction journal for any outstanding water/sewer/liens outstanding on property. E-mail all supporting documents to HUD’s Field Service Manager with documents in order to obtain approval prior to closing.
Final Water Meter required-(2) days prior to the closing date to make an appointment with Village. The readings are done between 9:30am-10:30am and someone must be present. Call Brigitte-708/867-7200.00. Payment is paid separately.
Transfer Stamps: Buyer’s Closing Agent to get HUD’s exempt stamp for closing.
- Buyer must have paperwork to the Village of Harwood Heights no later than 48 hours prior to closing time for village to process paperwork.
- The Village of Harwood Heights requires the ORIGINAL DEED.
- Harwood Heights Transfer Declaration
- State of Illinois-P-Tax Form
- Purchase of Senses water meter $75.00
- Payment: certified, cashier, money order, or attorney check.
