Contact Water Department-to obtain a history transaction journal for any outstanding water/sewer/liens outstanding on property. E-mail all supporting documentation to HUD’s Field Service Manager to obtain approval prior to closing.
A final water meter reading is required on the property 3-5 business days before the transaction is completed. Once, “Closing Date” has been set contact the Water Department to set up an appointment to read the meter.
