- Legible copy of the signed and dated sales contract.
- All Data must be to the Building Department 7-days prior to inspection
- Village of Park Forest Building Department-Buyer can submit “Buyers Letter” stating that they are aware of the violations, that the Buyer will have all the violations repaired and they will contact the Building Department to re-inspect the home. In addition, the letter must acknowledge that they cannot move in or move anyone else into property until a re-inspection is completed and a Certificate of Occupancy is issued.
- Contact the Building Department to obtain a history transaction journal for any outstanding water/sewer/liens on property. E-mail all supporting documentation to HUD’s Field Service Manager to obtain approval prior to closing.
- Transfer Stamp=Seller-(Buyers Closing Agent to obtain HUD’s $15.00 exempt for closing).
- The following documents are needed to obtain Transfer Stamp:
- The original fully executed deed
- The deed must have exemption clause to get exempt stamp
- The completed Park Forest Transfer Declaration form-2-part form obtained at the Building Department-call 708/503-7703 with any questions.
- Notarized grantor/grantee statement
- P-Tax Form
- Exempt Fee $15.00 processing fee-(Cashier’s check, money order, certified check, credit card, cash.)
