- Contact Water Department-847/923-4520 to obtain a history transaction journal for any outstanding water/sewer/liens/parking tickets/municipal fines on property. E-mail all supporting documentation to HUD’s Field Service Manager to obtain approval prior to closing. (The Water Department will not furnish any documentation if the water balance is zero.)
- Final Water Reading is required prior to closing date.
- Transfer Stamp-Seller-Buyers Closing Agent to obtain HUD’s Exempt Stamp-$10.00 fee for closing. The Village requires the following documents to get Transfer Stamp

- P-Tax-203
- Copy of Sales Contract along with legal description
- Hud exempt Cost $10.00
- Stamp Fee $1.00/$1,000.00
