HUD is no longer performing termite inspections on all FHA executed sales contracts. On an FHA contract (203b, 203b with escrow or 203k), if the buyer’s appraisal or buyer’s termite inspection indicates active wood destroying infestation the agent should send a copy of the report to Chronos so that a work order notice (WON) can be issued for the Field Service Manager (FSM) to perform a Termite Inspection. If the FSM’s termite inspection confirms active infestation, treatment will be performed by HUD.
